Sleeman Sports Complex Closure

Operations update: Novel Coronavirus

Updated: 23 March 20

The Sleeman Sports Complex team considers the health and safety of our hirers, staff and patrons paramount.

On Sunday, 22 March 2020 the Australian Government updated its position regarding Indoor Sport & Fitness Centres in order to minimising the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result The Sleeman Sports Complex, including the Brisbane Aquatic Centre and Pace at Sleeman will be closed to the public until further notice from noon Monday, 23 March 2020.

We are continuing to monitor and work through the impacts of the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and will provide you with updates as they become available.

PACE AT SLEEMAN MEMBERS

Member and casual access to Pace Fitness including all fitness classes and pool access is suspended immediately.

Memberships are now on hold - with direct debit payments suspended. We are working to determine the next steps for all membership options and will be in contact with more details regarding specific memberships soon.

The Pace Fitness team will stay in touch with members regularly, sending through some alternate in-home exercise programs to keep you active while practicing social distancing.

EVENTS, SPORT AND OTHER GATHERINGS AT SLEEMAN

To encourage the practice of social distancing and comply with the Australian Government Indoor and Outdoor gathering bans, all events and functions at Sleeman have been cancelled until further notice (this includes activities at the BMX SUper Cross Track).

Please contact your local club or event organiser for information regarding specific events.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this uncertain time. There is currently no end date for these arrangements, however our team will follow the instructions of the State and Federal Government and review these arrangements frequently to ensure we can return to normal business operations as soon as reasonably possible.

As always the health and safety of our patrons and community is our number one priority, so our team will continue to monitor the situation and will work closely with our hirers, staff and patrons to keep you updated.

We encourage you to stay informed about the current situation through Queensland Health by visiting - https://www.qld.gov.au/
